The feud between the PGA and LIV significantly reduced the quality of golf, with the event site as always being great and concessions parking excellent. The quality of golf was not up to past tournaments. I watched four groups approach number 5, and all twelve shots missed the green. I was standing at the 13th fairway, and spectators asked a marshal who the golfers were in the last three groups. The marshal shrugged his shoulders and said, "I do not recognize them. New Guys." Two of the players hit chip shots a 20 handicapper would have been embarrassed to claim, while the next two groups, established players, had 6 shots on the green resulting in a birdie and 5 pars. Time to invite the best player if Amidy and PGA want to be considered top tier tournaments.
